Dundas Street Mid-Rise Urban Design Study

SGL prepared an Urban Design Study in support for an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan Approval for the subject lands. The purpose of the Study was to illustrate the design aspects of the proposal for a mid-rise building and demonstrate its compatibility within the context of the development site and surrounding area, highlighting the ability of the proposal to accommodate design direction from the City of Mississauga. The Study expressed that the proposal represented good urban design, providing for intensified built form with a mix of uses within the Cooksville Neighbourhood Character Area and transit-oriented development along the Dundas Street intensification corridor and bus rapid transit route (BRT) and in close proximity to the future Hurontario Street light rail transit (LRT) route.
